1. David Beckham
England heartthrob, who has a mind-boggling female fan following, announced his love for his wife, Victoria Beckham, by getting her name tattooed in Devanagari & Hindi script on his left forearm.
2. Angelina Jolie
The Hollywood beauty has the beautiful Pali’ verse on her left shoulder blade which reads – “May your enemies run away from you. Your beauty will be that of Apsara. Where you may go, many will attend, serve and protect you, surrounding you on all sides. If you acquire riches, may the remain yours always.”
3. Rihanna
The ‘Diamonds’ hitmaker has a Sanskrit prayer inked on her hip. The tattoo, made in 2007, was supposed to translate to “forgiveness, honesty, suppression and control”, a quote from the Sanatana Dharma. But, the verse was misspelled and translated to “long suffering, truthfulness, self-restraint, inward calm, fear and fearlessness” instead.
4. Miley Cyrus
Destiny Hope, famously known as Miley Cyrus, has two tattoos which represent Hinduism. The 24-year-old pop singer was seen sporting an Om tattoo on her left wrist in August 2011. Her second tattoo is of an ‘Evil Eye’ which she got in 2012.
5. Alyssa Milano
Alyssa Milano has an Om tattoo at the base of her neck. The symbol is designed in an unique horizontal manner way as compared to the general style of writing ‘Om.’ The actress has a similar Om tattoo on her left wrist too.
6. Jessica Alba
Jessica Alba, the award winning ‘Fantastic Four’ actress, has the Sanskrit word ‘Padma’ inscribed on her right wrist. ‘Padma’ means lotus and is the spiritual sign resembling Lord Brahma, representing the physical representation of the human soul.
7. Kimberly Wyatt
Singer Kimberly Wyatt of the famous ‘Pussy Cat Dolls’ has an interesting Sanskrit tattoo in English script on her back. It reads ‘let all beings be happy and let my actions contribute to their happiness’.
8. Gillian Anderson
Gillian Anderson, famous for starring in the X-Files, has two tattoos on her body; one of them is a Sanskrit word on her right wrist. Incidentally, she wanted it to be tattooed in Sanskrit but ended up with a message in Hindi. The actress later clarified that the Sanskrit tattoo translates to ‘everyday’ in English.
9. Katy Perry and Russell Brand
Pop singer Katy Perry and British comedian Russell Brand decided to get Sanskrit word ‘anuugacchatu pravaha’ tattooed on the inside of their right arm to mark the their wedding. The tattoo means ‘go with the flow.’

Tommy Lee, the American musician and member of the heavy metal band ‘Motley Crue’,has an Om symbol inked on his stomach.
