In India, there is always a set definition of an ideal boy and ideal girl. A boy is always believed to be more muscular than girls, while girls are perceived to have a slender figure. This type of body shaming is quite known here but Vj Bani has recently condemned these biases.

In an exclusive interview with HT Brunch, VJ Bani said it was her choice to get a strong muscle, biceps and triceps, which she successfully has now. Bani’s strong physique and figure is a result of her hard workouts at the gym. Recalling her past, Bani said that she was even body shamed at MTV Roadies too by her fellow contestants when she was just 18. Even at gyms men and women stared at her with suspicion since she was passionate about fitness.

She took to instagram posts to reveal how people insulted her physique calling it ‘too muscular’ and ‘too manly’. But Bani refused to give in. Ultimately, she won against all odds as she is a famous TV personality now. Contrarily, her haters are living oblivious life – not even half as much successful as her.

Being a fitness freak, Bani has recently been made the brand ambassador for a fitness app of the Nike campaign. The Zorawar actress also stated that she was happy with the roles she had been getting for her strong muscular figure.
