Sunrisers Hyderabad has a convincing win after restricting Delhi Capitals at 129 for 8. It was an all-around performance by the Sunrisers. They won the toss and asked DC to bat first. In their last two matches, DC was collapsed while chasing. And there was no change in the story while they batted first. Capitals lost their wickets at regular interval. Thanks to excellent bowling performances, sharp catches, and excellent captaincy by Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

With this win, Sunrise Hyderabad has taken the top position in points table.

1st Half – Poor batting excellent bowling

After 2 consecutive losses, Delhi Capitals field a new team. They included Axar Patel, Rahul Tewatia and Ishant Sharma. But their fate remain unchaged.

Capitals batsmen struggled against spin and pace attack led by
Mohammad Nabi and Bhuvneshwar Kumar. They kept losing wickets at regular interval. Captain Shreyas Iyer was top scorer with 41 runs. Axar Patel’s last over assault of 2 sixes ensured DC a comfortable scorecard. He was the second highest scorer with 23 runs in 13 balls.

Sunrisers were in total control while bowling. There was variation in speed and bounce. It was a disciplined bowling performance by Sunriser’s bowlers. Fielders excellently supported their bowlers. They were sharp and ensured that catches were taken.

2nd Half – Excellent batting by Sunrisers

It was an unchanged Sunrisers squad. David Warner and Jonny Bairstow opened the inning. Bairstow ensured a blistering start for Hyderabad. He was declared man of the match for his 28 balls 48 runs. Delhi bowlers tried their best. But it was too late. Bairstow inning ensured DC’s defeat in 1st six overs itself. By the time he departed required run rate was under 5.

Unlike Hyderabad fielding, Delhi players were poor in fielding. They missed few catches and flumbled during fielding.

In a nutshell, Delhi Capitals players were totally lost. They seemed to be alien to their home ground. While Sunrisers Hyderabad players were as comfortable as they were playing in their home.

Though it was another loss for Delhi, still there is a chance. This journey is getting tougher for them. In upcoming matches, it will be a now or never situation for Delhi Capitals.
