You can’t get a ‘my dear’ president like Obama. Wherever he goes he wins hearts and the US President’s latest official trip to Vietnam was no exception. Without making any prior announcement, Obama entered inside a Hanoi’s small street-side eatery and relished the Vietnam’s famous Bun cha (a sweet pork soup) delicacy while surprising the owner and restaurant visitors as well.

The owner of the restaurant was more than surprised to find who her guest was on Monday night. Obama was accompanied there by Anthony Bourdain, a celebrity chef and globetrotter. Exulted chef shares the pic with fans on twitter;

Nguyen Thi Lien (54), the restaurant owner, was immensely surprised when Obama turned out as her Monday night guest. “Obama was nice, smiling, cheerful and popular with everyone. His presence in our restaurant was a great surprise for my whole family, who could never have imagined it, even in our dreams,” she said to AFP yesterday.

A lot of people were standing outside the restaurant to meet and cheer for Obama as he was about to depart after dinner. He thanked every visitor there waiving his hand. Earlier, the security personnel had completely cordoned off the street leading to Bun Cha Huong Lien eatery on Monday evening, a few hours before Obama’s surprise visit to “Bun Cha” food-joint.
