Living in a patriarchal society has its own demerits. Not just gender equality remains a distant dream in such a society but atrocities against women are also too common. Shockingly, after every crime, be it rape or sexual exploitation, victims have to bear the brunt with society labeling serious charges against them, while the perpetrators are not condemned for their heinous sin.

Recently, the photographer Yana Mazurkevich has come up with a distressing photoshoot of women posing as rape victims and blaming themselves for the crime and harassment – mirroring how society further hurts the rape victims with irrational assumptions.
