A cocktail of gay and lesbian love story, movie has a promising theme but Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga fails at every front. A large section of celebrities and media houses are praising the movie. But still, the movie fails to convince the audiences. This debut film of Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s sister Shaili Chopra attracts only on the level of thought. After leaving the cinema hall you will feel regret. Regret how an important concept can be destroyed. Regret how talented actors like Raj Kumar Rao could be wasted.
The Story
Balbir Chaudhary (Anil Kapoor) lives in Moga. He is looking for a groom for his daughter Sweetie (Sonam Kapoor). In such a drama Sahil Mirza (Rajkumar Rao) takes an entry. Sahil falls in love with Balbir. After the ups and downs of many incidents, Sahil realizes that Sweety loves Kuhu (Regina Casandra). Now he knows that Sweety is lesbian. Sahil and Sweety try to convince society and family about their unusual relationships. This is the whole story behind the movie – Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga.

The film fails badly on every front. Being Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s sister, there were big expectations from Shelly Chopra. Shelly wasn’t able to fulfil those expectations. The story, screenplay and music of the film are extremely poor. In the film, Sonam Kapoor has acted brilliantly. Anil Kapoor and Juhi Chawala have done justice to their role. Being such a talented actor, Raj Kumar Rao is underutilized.
